  1. 1    INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE

  3.     1    Make sure your CD is in the drive
  4.     2    Double click on My computer
  5.     3    Double click on Control Panel
  6.     4    Double click on Add/Remove Programs
  7.     5    Click on Install
  8.     6    Click on Next
  9.     7    When the form called Run Installation Program appears and it shows D:\Setup.exe under the command line for installation, click on Finish. Please note that D is the name of your CD-ROM drive and may be a different letter.
  10.     8    Follow the on screen prompts
  11.     9    To run the program click on START, click on PROGRAMS, Click on FUN LEARNING and finally click on the required title.

  13. 2    UNINSTALLING THE SOFTWARE

  15.     1    Follow points 1 to 4 above
  16.     2    Find Fun Learning (topic)
  17.     3    Click on the line to highlight it
  18.     4    Click on Add/Remove
  19.     5    Click on Yes
  20.     6    Follow the on screen prompts

  23. 3    TROUBLESHOOTING

  25. In the unlikely event of an error occurring whilst running the program, please follow this procedure:

  27.     1    Make sure your CD is in the drive.
  28.     2    Double click on My Computer.
  29.     3    Double click on Control Panel.
  30.     4    Double click on Add/Remove Programs.
  31.     5    Click on Install.
  32.     6    Click on Next.
  33.     7    When the form called Run Installation Program appears click on browse. 
  34.     8    Click on the DIRECTX folder to open it.
  35.     9    Select Setup.exe and click on Open.
  36.     10     Click on Finish.
  37.     11    Follow the on screen prompts.
  38.     12    Now you can run your Software.

  41. 4    CORRECT SCREEN MODE
  42.  
  43. This software is designed to run in 800 by 600 screen mode. If your computer is set to any other mode, please follow these simple instructions.

  45. 1    Click the mouse button twice on My computer.
  46. 2    Click the mouse button twice on Control panel.
  47. 3    Click the mouse button twice on Display.
  48. 4    Click the mouse button once on Settings 
  49.     (right hand side at the top).
  50. 5    In the middle and to the right is a slider headed 
  51.     Desktop area.
  52. 6    Click and hold down the mouse button whilst on the 
  53.     down facing arrow.
  54. 7    Slide the arrow to the right until it shows 800 by 600.
  55. 8    Click the mouse button on Apply at the bottom right.
  56.     (if you are asked to specify a monitor, click NO.)
  57. 9    Click the mouse button on OK (to the left)
  58. 10     To change the screen resolution back or to any other size     please repeat the above.

  60. 5    CORRECT AMOUNT OF COLOURS

  62. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS DISPLAYING YOUR HELP SCREENS. 
  63. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.

  65. 1    Follow steps 1 to 4 above.
  66. 2    In the middle and to the left is headed Colour palette.
  67. 3    Click the left mouse button on the small black arrow.
  68. 4    Select High colour to obtain 65,000 colours or True colour 
  69.     to obtain 16.7 million colours.
  70. 5     Click on the mouse button on Apply at the bottom right. 
  71. 6    Click on the mouse button on OK (bottom left)
  72. 7    To change the colours back or to any other settings please 
  73.     repeat the above.
